About Us

Our Story

Our journey began by experiencing the challenges first hand. For 5 years, our team put ourselves in the shoes of every stakeholder (Funder, Nonprofit, Business and Service Recipient) saw first-hand the compliance complexity and lack of appropriate tools and processes and how they inhibited the effectiveness of service delivery to those in need.

Putting people first, our team of seasoned technologists, program managers, policy makers and researchers sought to develop process driven tools for those creating social impacts that can function sustainably.

About our Founder/CEO

Alfred brings a unique blend of information technology, business, social service and philanthropic experience to the social good market as the founder and CEO of Goodmojo. Alfred excels at maximizing outcome by way of increased efficiency through the use of technology and information management design. He developed a distinctive business lens while working for Deloitte (HK) in his early career and used it to significantly improve a variety of large-scale projects in his later career including:

  • Delivering federal, state, and local government social and housing programs with the City and County of San Francisco
  • Researching care efficiency for the US Department of the Air Force medical support squadron
  • Managing public health research information management and supportive systems with one of the largest research institutes in the nation
  • Advancing local and statewide initiatives using precinct and donor data

By honing in on the delivery of impacts in the most efficiency and effective ways, Alfred has achieved an ROI of 10% annual saving and 87% increase in efficiency for local municipality programs. Wins include reducing the housing assistance program application process from 60 days to 50 seconds and enabling data driven portfolio management to optimize grant values and outputs.

A vision for better communities.

With his sixth patent application underway, Alfred is leading his team to provide geolocation based coordinated services with no wrong door for individuals and their families through Goodmojo’s cloud-based SaaS platform. Because demand for social impact will always outpace the supply of resources and it is difficult to measure the monetary impact of social endeavors, a market place model must be used to create an inclusive social good market that will enable all societal stakeholders to participate. Goodmojo is that marketplace. By expanding the traditional definition of social impact from grants and donations to include businesses and conscious consumers’ transactions, the resource network for positive impact will not only increase dramatically but it will also provide unprecedented opportunities for businesses to harness the potential of the next generation market – conscious capitalism.

Under Alfred’s leadership, Goodmojo utilizes machine learning and AI to gain insight into real-time socio-economic data, enabling financial resources to be precisely targeted where they’re needed most. With Goodmojo, non-profit stakeholders and associates can make informed choices quickly and easily, maximizing impact across the board.

Why the name Goodmojo?

Alfred’s beloved dog Mojo lived to be 20 years old. Before Mojo passed away, a friend asked “How’s my good Mojo?” A conversation ensued about how everyone wants good mojo. Mojo is a symbol that represents kindness, friendliness and warmth. It became the name of our company and platform and Alfred’s doodle of Mojo became our logo and mascot.
